Big Boy Bed

On Tuesday night Brennan moved to his big boy bed and new bedroom! (We decided to move him to the other bedroom for a few different reasons.) I had planned to make it a gradual process over the next several weeks, but when Brennan saw his bed he was so excited to sleep in it I just couldn't say no. He was beside himself with delight, and we had a terrible time keeping him out of the bed while Jim assembled the bed frame and put the bedrail up. As soon as I told him he could get in it he dove in, still dressed, and pulled up the covers. It kills me that the room is so bare and incomplete, but for now Brennan has a new room, and he is very proud. He even helped me to carry books and toys and move things in, and he was as pleased as punch. Now we're in a big bed, and potty training is the last "big boy" step. (I'm sure that one will take a while.) Where have these years gone?
